There are many reasons to get into crafting: it’s fun, it can make you feel calmer and more focused, it can result in objects that are both beautiful and practical, and in times like these, it can give your brain something to do besides spiral with worry, at least for a little while.
If you want to pick up a new craft, or hone your skills within a particular craft you already practice, a couple of websites are offering their online classes for free right now: Bluprint and Brit + Co.
Bluprint (formerly known as Craftsy) is focused entirely on crafts, ranging from fiber arts to cake decorating to woodworking. Its classes are longer, made up of multiple sessions, and typically cost $40 or more, making this current promotion a particularly good deal.
